Education/Prevention

In 2009, the Council funded $14,730.00 in grants to prevent and educate the public about the effects of substance abuse.  The following entities are a few of the grants which were funded for this purpose:

–        Area Schools – Red Ribbon Week activities, Post Proms, Natural Helpers, All Stars, Respecting Ourselves and others, Peers Educating Peers, etc

–        TRI-CAP Programs like Teen Wellness, Celebrate Families and Expired Drug Collections
